Finance Business Partner*

Role Purpose

Partner with business leaders to drive financial performance and shape strategic direction. The role translates business strategy into numbers and ensures financial implications are understood early in the decision cycle. It combines forward‑looking analysis, planning & forecasting, and executive storytelling with active contribution to strategic initiatives—from growth priorities to cost transformation—anchoring FP’s ambition to deliver value‑added services.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial partnering & performance management: Act as the lead finance partner for assigned products, owning P&L transparency, performance reviews, and executive‑level insights.
  • Planning, forecasting & scenarios: Lead driver‑based planning and rolling forecasts with Global FP&A, including stress testing and ICAAP/ILAAP inputs.
  • Reporting, insight & storytelling: Translate financials into clear decision stories; support management and Board reviews.
  • Change, innovation & ways of working: Drive FP value creation through reporting simplification, automation, and AI adoption.
  • Strategic contribution & decision support: Act as a strategic finance advisor, shaping strategy and assessing financial impact of key initiatives.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Preferred Banking/Finance expertise with strong grasp of P&L drivers and profitability KPIs
  • Experience in FP&A / Business Finance / Strategy / Controlling (banking or financial services)
  • Proven executive presentation and storytelling skills
  • Hands‑on planning & forecasting experience
  • Skills & CompetenciesBusiness partnering: strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Strategic thinking: ability to link market trends and internal performance to shape strategic choices and quantify financial implications
  • Analytical depth: driver‑based models, scenario analysis, and granular P&L understanding
  • Communication: sharp synthesis, C‑level slides, and succinct recommendations
  • Data & tools: advanced Excel/PowerPoint; familiarity/prior  experience with planning systems and data query and visualization (Pythong/R, Power BI)
  • Change & innovation: openness to AI‑assisted analytics and process improvement
  • You will spend 50% of your working time in our modern and easily accessible office at Vienna Central Station.

For this position, the collective agreement stipulates a minimum annual gross salary of € 50.366,92 on a full-time basis. Depending on your experience and qualifications, we are willing to offer a higher salary.
