Pricing Analytics & Modeling Specialist*

Business Development Finance is responsible for group-wide pricing across BAWAG's core product spectrum in its target markets (DACH region, Western Europe and the US).

As BAWAG's central pricing function, we combine financial expertise, advanced analytics and modern technology to support data-driven decision making across the organization.

The Team

develops, maintains and continuously enhances pricing models, analytics frameworks and decision-support tools across lending and platform-based products
drives the digitalization and automation of pricing processes through AI-enabled solutions, modern data platforms and cloud technologies
analyzes large and complex datasets to identify commercial opportunities and derive actionable recommendations
closely monitors product profitability and portfolio performance to ensure BAWAG's return targets are met
performs valuations of loan portfolios to support investment and pricing decisions
acts as a strategic partner to Product, Finance, Treasury, Risk and Technology teams across the Group

Your Tasks

Develop, maintain and enhance pricing models for BAWAG's lending and platform business activities
Build and maintain analytical frameworks for pricing, profitability monitoring and portfolio performance management
Evaluate and implement AI-supported solutions to improve analytical workflows, automation and decision making
Work with large datasets in Snowflake and develop robust data transformation and analytics workflows
Prepare management-ready analyses and recommendations for senior stakeholders

Your Profil - Qualifications Education & Experience

University degree in Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science or a comparable analytical discipline
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into commercial insights
Experience working with large and complex datasets

Technical Skills

Required:

Strong Python skills
Advanced SQL skills
Experience working with Snowflake or comparable cloud-based data platforms
Strong data modelling and analytical problem-solving capabilities
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with Git or comparable version control systems

Preferred:

Practical AI know-how and hands-on experience applying generative AI, machine learning or large language model (LLM) solutions
Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow
Familiarity with cloud environments and modern data architectures
Experience developing analytical applications (e.g. Streamlit or similar frameworks)

Team player with a hands-on attitude and willingness to challenge the status quo
Fluency in English

For this position, the collective agreement stipulates a minimum annual gross salary of € 47.255,60 on a full-time basis. Depending on your experience and qualifications, we are willing to offer a higher salary.
