Senior Auditor - Risk Management*

Are you passionate about Credit, Market risk, ICAAP and ILAAP and enjoy diving deep into processes, systems, and projects to identify risks and improvement opportunities? Then join BAWAG’s Risk Management Team.

 

 

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Independently lead and execute risk management audits across the Group, with a particular focus on credit & market risk, ICAAP and ILAAP
  • Assess the proper implementation of internal and external measures, recommendations, and remediation actions.
  • Support the handling of regulatory and supervisory requests and inquiries.
  • Analyze current regulatory and supervisory requirements and assess their implications for the Bank.
  • Contribute to strengthening the Group’s risk management and control environment through independent assurance and advisory activities.

 

 

 

Your Profile

  • University degree in a relevant field, such as Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of current banking regulatory and supervisory frameworks, including CRR, CRD IV and related regulatory standards, as well as the Austrian Banking Act (BWG).
  • Several years of relevant professional experience, preferably in risk modelling, model validation, internal audit, external audit, or consulting within the financial services sector.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIA, DIR, or equivalent) are a plus.
  • Experience with statistical software packages such as R and SAS is considered an advantage.
  • Excellent command of English and a collaborative, team-oriented working style.
